Looks like gay marriage will now be the principal issue in the 2012 Tar Heel elections. Opponents to the proposed State Constitutional Amendment that mimics existing law on the issue are launching a reverse campaign to argue for gay marriage rights.
I don’t think they stand a chance right now, but they will force attention on this debate, which only serves to draw emphasis away from far...
